Since 1856 the Academy of Science in St. Louis has been a leader in the advancement and integration of science and technology into contemporary society. From its rich history as a science museum to the realization of a longstanding goal by taking the lead in the development of a “well-equipped and suitable science center” for St. Louis, the Academy has always been able to focus its resources for maximum return. Today, Academy resources are focused on expanded scientific outreach, education, resource sharing, and the recognition of scientific accomplishment. |

The Donald Danforth Plant Science Center is a not-for-profit research institute with a global vision to improve the human condition.
